🔥🚒 Fire Prevention Week | October 4–10, 2026 🚒🔥

This Fire Prevention Week, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) reminds us that fire safety starts with being prepared. Click HERE for a tip sheet!

🏠 Make sure your smoke alarms are working by testing them regularly.
🚪 Know two ways out of every room, if possible, and make sure everyone in your household knows the escape plan.
📍 Choose a meeting place a safe distance from your home.
🔥 Keep anything that can burn away from heat sources such as stoves and heaters.
📞 Get out and stay out if a fire occurs—never go back inside for people, pets, or belongings.

New Britain Township is fortunate to have dedicated local fire companies and volunteer firefighters who help protect our community every day. This week, we encourage residents to take a few minutes to review their home fire escape plan and learn more about fire safety.

🤍Thank you to our local fire companies and firefighters for their service and commitment to keeping our community safe!🤍
