New Britain Township is pleased to announce the adoption of its 2026 Open Space Plan!

This took place at the Board of Supervisors meeting held on August 3rd, 2026. The updated plan represents the culmination of several years of planning and collaboration with the Bucks County Planning Commission (BCPC). As part of the process, the Township conducted an Open Space Survey to gather residents’ input on priorities for parks, recreation, preservation, natural resources, and the future of open space in the community. The survey results are included in the adopted plan and helped inform its recommendations.

The Township extends its appreciation to the Bucks County Planning Commission for its expertise and assistance throughout the planning process, as well as to the Township Planning Commission, Environmental Advisory Council, and Township staff for their contributions.

Most importantly, the Township thanks the residents who took the time to participate in the Open Space Survey and provide their feedback. Public engagement is an important part of planning for New Britain Township’s future, and residents’ input helped shape this updated plan.

The 2026 Open Space Plan will serve as a guide for future decisions regarding open space preservation, parks and recreation, natural resources, and land use, helping the Township plan thoughtfully for the future while maintaining the character and quality of life of the community.
