Seven community volunteers gathered on a mild October day to plant 17 native canopy trees along the new Neshaminy Greenway Trail. These trees will beautify the area, fill in gaps left by dying ash trees, protect the health of the creek, and support area wildlife. (The approximate address of the trail entrance is 1619 Upper State Rd.)
This project was a joint effort of the Township’s Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) and the Neshaminy Watershed Association (NWA), both of which continually strive to improve our local environment. If you are interested in helping to plant trees in New Britain Township, please write the EAC at: eac@nbtpa.us.
